Cream Cheese Frosting

This cream cheese frosting goes so well with the tomato soup spice cake found on this site, but is so versatile, you can use it on any cake, danish, or cinnamon roll.

1 8oz package softened cream cheese
2 TBSP milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 16oz package confectioner’s sugar

*Beat the cream cheese, milk and vanilla with an electric mixer
*on low, slowly add in sugar and beat

Tomato Soup Spice Cake

Like me, my dad has some great memories of foods from his childhood. The tastes and smells take us right back to the loving hands that made those dishes. This tomato soup spice cake recipe is pretty close to the one his mother used to make. Hope it brings back some memories for you!

Christmas Elves


This is an easy Christmas craft. You will need:

hot glue/glue gun or wood glue
wooden balls
tiny pinecone
sharpie marker
jingle bell

*glue top of pinecone to wooden ball, let dry
*cut felt into a long, high triangle
*glue around wooden ball covering about half and let dry
*cut a small strip of felt for scarf, wrap between pinecone and wooden ball and glue to close
*make two small dots for eyes

Marshmallow Frosting

My favorite frosting recipe for cakes, cupcakes, even woopie pies. You can’t go wrong when marshmallow creme is one of the main ingredients!

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 7oz jar marshmallow creme (I use Fluff)
2 cups confectioner’s sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

*cream butter until fluffy
*add marshmallow creme, beat two minutes
